Overview
This Ndutu Migration Safari During Calving tour is a great opportunity to see the wildebeest migration in the Southern Serengeti and Ndutu areas of Tanzania. From January to March, thousands of wildebeest can be seen eating grass on the plains. As there are many predators in the area, such as cheetah, lion, hyena, and leopard, you may also witness intense hunting.
Itinerary
After breakfast, you’ll be picked up from your Hotel in Arusha and then transferred to Arusha airport for your short time flight (50mins) to Serengeti North Ndutu Area. Upon arrival, you will meet your driver guide for a full day game drive in Ndutu to view the migration. In the evening, we’ll drive to the camp for dinner and overnight.
Lake Ndutu area, situated in the Ngorongoro conservation area, part of the southern Serengeti eco-system. Lake Ndutu is alkaline, like most of the other Rift lakes, however, the water is still drinkable and used by a wide array of local wildlife. The majority of the wildebeest migration can normally be found on the short-grass plains from December to April. The area is usually heavily populated with elephant, birds and resident game.
